4th European Congress of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

INSTRUCTIONAL SESSIONS

Instructional Sessions will be held each morning from 7.15 a.m. to 8.15 a.m. at no additional cost.
Each subspecialty sequence of five one hour sessions will be certified as an independent mini-course.

Topics are:
  • Middle ear surgery,temporal bone demonstrations
  • Rhinology:functional tests including allergy and olfaction
  • Anatomy and surgery of the larynx
  • Skull-base surgery
  • Plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Phoniatrics
  • Special diagnostics: Ultrasound and electrophysiology

MAIN SESSIONS

More than ninety Main Sessions relating to all subspecialities of ORL have been arranged.
Key note lectures in history and basic research are also integrated in clinical sessions.
The following are the societies which will have main sessions under their auspices:
  • Barany Society
  • European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery
  • European Academy of Otology and Neuro-Otology
  • European Laryngological Society
  • European Rhinologic Society
  • International Academy of Otorhinolaryngology,Head and Neck Surgery
  • Politzer Society
  • Societas ORL Latina

There will also be panels on paediatric otology, paediatric rhinology and paediatric laryngology. Some sessions will consist of state of the art papers while others are designed as controversial panel discussions.

At the commencement of the new century, the latest research advances for example in otorhinolaryngological genetics or concerning prognostic factors in SCCHN will be highlighted in this conference.

The role of new technologies such as lasers, endoscopic techniques and 3 D-navigation techniques will be critically discussed.
