Special symposium

The symposium focuses on the current state of development and
the clinical use of titanium prostheses both fixed and variable in
length for the reconstruction of the ossicular chain in the middle ear.
Their excellent biocompatibility and advantageous balancing of
impedances will be explained. The principle of titanium prostheses
variable in length will be shown. First results of a multi-centered
clinical study of the use titanium prostheses will be presented.
